Today we were going to practice volunteer work in Class Love. I thought that we only have to look the teacher how to take care of them, but in fact, I need to start to take care of them. I am in charge of Grade Two Class Love and there are 5 students in the class. I found that they are cute and innocent, so I will take care of them well.

Today I helped them to brush teeth and wash their faces. I teach them by holding their hands carefully. After brushing teeth, we started to teach them how to wash their face by holding their hands. While teaching them how to wash the face, I taught them facial features as well. I found that their teacher always teaches them while they are doing one action.

Today Lin, Shuang-Chu didn’t come. So tired! I understood that teachers are tired and it is not easy to take care of them. Teachers of normal classes are hard-working and teachers of Class Love are hard-working too. Although being a volunteer is tired and not easy, I am happy to do the work.

 I got a reason that I didn’t go to computer classroom. Because today I was too tired, I took a rest in the classroom. At this time, Huang, Yi-Chieh and Lin, Yi-Yun came and we asked the teacher many question. We understood that students in Class Love have a lot of symptoms except autism and Down’s syndrome.

 Lin, Shuang-Chu came to help me today. I felt more relaxed. She is helpful. On the way to computer classroom, we ran to take elevator on the 3^rd floor. After we arrived at computer classroom, director came to blame us.

Today I took care of Wen as well as Shuan. In fact, it is not easy to wash his face because he will lower down his face. Lin, Shuang-Chu always feeds Shuan in lunch time. She is so hard-working.

9/14

I got sick and I was in a trance while I was doing every work. I asked teacher if I can go to take care of those students today, but she said that if they get sick, it will be hard for them to recover. There was one student who got sick today, so I was afraid that I will infect him.

 Lin, Shuang-Chu was gone again while those students were eating. I found that she was preparing blankets for students. If we prepare those things in advance, they will be able to sleep after they brush teeth.

 Today everyone was happy. Shuan and Wen smiled a lot. Teacher told me that Bao was sick and kept crying until he fell asleep. I went to ask him, ‘How did you feel?’ He said, ‘I was sick.’ I found that he kept repeating my words. Finally, I gave up.

9/21

 I was late to the classroom today. After I was done with taking care of one student, the teacher asked us to go to the 5^th floor to take moon cakes. When I saw those moon cakes, I felt that those students are excellent because I don’t know how to make moon cakes. When I got the moon cakes, they are hot. I appreciated them and thought that we only have a few days to take care of them, so I felt a little sad.

Today Shuan was not well-behaved because when Lin, Shuang-Chu was going to help her to wash the face and he resisted. When I saw this situation, I went to take the towel and wiped his face. Later, I thought I treated him badly.

9/28

 Today is the last day I serve the class. I feel a little sad. Lin, Shuang-Chu took pictures of us and I really wanted to see those pictures. Today volunteers from 4^th grade came to practice and we have to tell them important points of taking care of those students of Class Love. I hope that they can take care of them well. We heard from teacher that they are doing well. I believe that students of Class Love must like them as much as us.

Today is the last day that we came to Class Love and we also shared our experience with new volunteers. While I was sharing my experience, one volunteer of 4^th grade asked, ‘Will they mess up while using the restroom?’ It is hard to answer him. Then teacher answered for me. Today I am so sad and want to keep serving in the class.

　　In the beginning of being a volunteer, I was reluctant and worried a lot. I worried that if those students will have weird behaviors. I thought that people in the movie must be serious than those students.

　　After we started to practice in Class Love, I did not worry. Although they will hug you suddenly or take off their pants, I don’t mind because they are disabled children. I feel sad because I like those students when I started to take care of them. If you ask me why I don’t want to leave, I will tell you, ‘If you try to be a volunteer here, you will know why.’

　　Please trust me that they are angels and cute. They will make you laugh. They are the children that God concerns a lot.

　　If there are a lot of cute angels around you every day, the life will be enjoyable.
