9/6

Today is the first day being a volunteer. We went to the office of Class Love and everyone was assigned to a class, and I was assigned to help the 2^nd class of the 2^nd grade of Class Love. Today we are going to observe how their teacher helps them and tomorrow the volunteer work will begin.

9/7

Today I am a volunteer in Class Love. I thought that I may dislike students of Class Love, but their passion let me throw away the thought. Today's assignment is to help Xiao-Ru to brush her teeth. Because she always swallows water in her mouth while brushing teeth, I need to remind her by saying, “Open the mouth, and spit!” and also need to hold her mouth. Although the teacher has demonstrated to me, it was really difficult but interesting. Besides, they seem that they do not mind that I watch them sitting on the toilet. It is good for them not feeling shy because they won't be locked in the restroom.

This morning I helped kindergarten students in Class Love to eat. It was really hard. It seems that one of students didn't like me and didn't want to interact with me. When he began to interact with me later, I smelled the bad smell of mixed food and wanted to throw up. Finally, Lin Yi Yen helped me to deal with him. But the skill of helping him to brush teeth and wash face is getting improved.

P.S. the teacher said, “We need to talk with affirmative sentences, or they will think that we are playing with them.”

Today is as usual, except that when I was helping Xiao-Xhang to get sleep, Yuan-Bao said that I was noisy and annoying. I don't know that students of Class Love will blame others as well but I can't say anything and just smile. My heart hurts, but I think that I need to keep the attitude of service and introspect.

I found that when Xia-Ru was washing hands, her left hand turned on the water to the max and washed it , and her right hand repeated the action. It was so funny. Today Yuan-Bao had a stomachache and felt uncomfortable and he lay on the teacher's lap to act as a spoiled child. I don’t know that students of Class Love are so cute.

Typhoon comes! Because I was worried that they were wet, I didn't help them to brush teeth and only washes their faces. Moreover, XuanXuan was sick and he cannot eat, so he only drank hot milk. He also wet his pants. When I brought him to sleep, he suddenly took off her pants and I thought that he wanted to pee, so asked Huang Yi Jei to help me. But Huang Yi Jei’s persuasion didn't work and we asked the teacher to help us and it has been resolved. YA!

9/20

 Today everyone seemed very high, except for Yuan-Bao. Everyone kept laughing. I also helped XuanXuan to wash his face. When I was washing his face, I needed to stand after him to help him. It seems that he will dislike some people. When I washed his face, he kept circling around to run away from me. Until once the teacher helped him to wipe his face and then I wiped his face after the teacher did, I found that he became not so dislike me. I felt very happy. Although the days I work in the class are not many, I will treasure it.

Today students of Class Love made moon cakes. When we came to the class, they were baking and when we went home, each of us had a hot moon cake which was made by students. It was hot and very delicious. When I was eating the moon cake, I felt that those students have something that we don't have—that is, they are optimistic and their minds are pure. I think that sometimes we should learn from them.

I found that it is hard to assistant Xiao-Xuan because he has great strength. He held his towel in his hand desperately because he did not want me to wipe his face. I wanted to yield to him but he grabbed the towel impolitely. It became a fight and finally I lost. They laughed at me. Then Wang Jia Yu came to help me and I won.

 Today new volunteers from 4^th grade came to practice. When I was helping Xiao-Xuan to wash her face, she suddenly hugged me and Wang Jia Yu said, “She likes you and doesn't want to let you go.” Ha, I think it is possible! I also bring my digital camera to take their pictures to keep good memory. I appreciate the teacher as well. I hope that new volunteers can assistant those students well.

Today I didn't have to help the class, but the teacher said that we need to pass on the skills of helping Class Love and tell them what they need to notice when helping those students. I hope that volunteer from 4^th grade can treat them well and I want to tell those students, “We will come to visit you if we have time.”

　　Today is the last day of being a volunteer here and I felt very sad. I think that everyone of the CyberFair team feels the same with me.

　　I remembered that in the beginning, those students didn't want to interact with me and disliked me. When I wanted to help them to brush teeth, they didn't want to open their mouth; when I wanted to wash their faces, they turned their faces to the other side. These made me felt sad and weak. Finally, because our patience and every day we showed up on time and Xiao-Wen's passion made me not feel strange. It was like that I was taking care of sisters and brothers. Although communication was not good and can't understand their body language, we always kept smiling.

　　When I was in Class Love, I always felt very happy and felt not tired when I helped them. Although sometimes I was shocked for something, for example, they hugged me suddenly or took off their pants and sometimes something let me feel very sad, such as they said, “Disturbing! It is annoying!” and they even didn't react with me and pushed me away. After these frustrations and when they started to interact with me, I felt fulfilled.

　　It is good to be a volunteer. If your school has Class Love and needs volunteers, don't forget to sign up. If you never serve as a volunteer, you will never know how fun in doing this. Actually, I was reluctant to be a volunteer, but after being a volunteer, you will learn a lot of things.
