Characteristics :

Walking Trail No.7 is the
most simple and crude in Dakeng wailking trails. This trail connects with
Wind Moving Rock. There is a little piece of wooden trail, but the others
are cement Productive Road. There are many bamboo shoot gardens on the
way until the traffic tar road near Fanzih Tain. In recent years Tianyuan
Rorad has completed widening, so the road becomes more convenient for
parking and gets closer to the
city area. Therefore, many visitors would choose Guangyinshan’s walking
trail beside Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology. Because
it is near Liankeng Lane in Dakeng Circle, it is just like a market. As most vendors are not from local
farmers, it really makes a lot of trouble on the managemnet. There is a
more difficult steep slope on the way, visitors
have to use both hands and feet well. The destination of Walking Trail
No.7 is Yufo temple where there is a great view to see Taipin area.

Legend of Wind Moving Stone :
|
In one legend, there were a pair of white monkeys under the Wind Moving Rock. They lived without sorrow and anxiety. After a while they had a white baby monkey and they often saw the sunset together. One day, the little white monkey was caught by a greedy passer-by, the female monkey kept crying for the lost little monkey and pushed a little stone to the cliff. Finally, the female monkey was also lost in the mountain. The male monkey kept watching for them. The male monkey watited testily, so it shaked the stone heavily and the monuntain and the river were suddenly shaking for his crying. The wind blew hard to make this huge stone flying. Finally, the male was gone as well.

It is a wooden trail. There are more natural trees, so there are many

many bamboos and fruit trees aside. If you are hiking in summer, remember
to do the sun protection. Weather weekdays or holidays, there are many
people go hiking here. On weekdays many 40-year-old hikers come here
alone. On the other hand, on holidays the major groups are about 30-year-old
parents and their children; there are a few young pepole like to go
hiking here. At most some young people would stay in Jhong Jheng camp
area temporarily once in a while.
It is a pity that when you move forward the walking trail, you
would see more Taiwanese Macaques and Muller’s Barbets than young people.
