Volunteer Training：

The day before becoming a regular volunteer, Director of Class Love Chen, Hsiu-Chih guided us to the office. At first, we needed to fill out the form of Volunteer of Class Love, and also took a picture which will be stuck on the form. Then she started to tell us the condition and schedule of Class Love and how to communicate with them.

Distribute to different classes：

Distributing each person to a class is an important thing to do after training. Because volunteer work is very difficult, director said that it's better to have two people in a group and can reduce workload. After dividing us into groups, each group was distributed to different classes. After finishing distribution, we all hoped that we can get along with them as soon as possible and expected tomorrow.

Understand the content of work：

The volunteer work of Class Love is harder than what we thought. We not only need to communicate with them but also have a lot of work to do. Following list is what we need to do basically.

Of course, there are some students’ with serious disabilities, so we need to assist them. For example, we need to help Xiao-Yu to wear orthosis because the tendons of her legs are shorter than others, orthosis can help her legs to stretch. Because some students’ language ability is not good, we need to communicate with them with both language and gestures in order to let them understand.

Observe and training：

Because taking care of the students of Class Love needs patience and we were not familiar with the work, we had to observe how the teacher takes care of them and were training for being volunteers. Then we could get familiar with the volunteer work.

Be a friend with them：

In order to understand each student, the teacher of Class Love would tell us what forms of disabilities each student has in advance, including their symptoms and the things needed to be noticed when taking of them. There were really so many things to notice. Every student's condition was different and the things needed to be noticed were different as well. We were going to get along with the students of Class Love for one month, so the first thing that we needed to was to memorize their names as well as important things. If we can understand everyone’s condition, it would be easier to deal with things.
