We went to the computer classroom today in order to discuss the project. Through the discussion, everyone has his/her own opinions and some of topics are too difficult, so they are rejected and some are hard to collect enough materials, so they are rejected. Finally, we decided ¡¥Yu Jen 40^th Anniversary¡¦ to be our topic. The reason is that our school is a Catholic school

and this year is our school's 40^th anniversary, so we will hold many special events, such as Anniversary Concert and Fair. Therefore, we can use these events as our materials.

Today teacher asked us to set up our schedule. We make use of our lunch break time to make the project in the computer classroom two or three days a week. All members should meet in the computer classroom on coming Wednesday. Please do not be absent. We set up our own schedules and report to our leader in order to let the project work well.

Today teacher taught us how to use a digital camera by explaining each function to us. She also taught us the tips, that is, keep our hands still when we press the button to shoot a photo. I believe that through practicing, we can take professional pictures.

Teacher assigned each part of the project to each team member and everyone needs to write report of the project. There are several parts of the project, including campus tours, school history, founders, volunteers, etc. Two or three people will be in charge of each part but everyone should attend every activity. This project is team work.

We become reports in our school fair. We have to interview parents, teachers, and classmates. What is important is to ask appropriate questions. As reporters, we must have professional skills of taking pictures and the attitudes in the interview. Therefore, teacher starts to train us. She reminds us that we need to say thank you after interviewing a person.

Lee, Shu-Mei and I went to the computer classroom to turned in the pictures took in the school fair to our teacher. Teacher let us look at pictures took by other team members. Those pictures are about our school and each booth in the fair. Teacher praised us that we took great pictures. Lee, Shu-Mei is great because she thought 9 questions for the interview. With the

cooperation of every teacher and every student, our interview went very well.

Teacher taught me how to use a scanner before when I was making class website. Therefore, teacher asked me to teach other team members how to scan pictures onto our computers.

I taught them step by step. It's my pleasure to have the opportunity to teach them.

Today teacher divided the work into four parts, including dealing with photos, drawing pictures for web pages, taking pictures, and recording. First, everyone chose which one he/she wants to do and then group members elected leader and vice-leader for each group. Later, we started to discuss their job. We are responsible for dealing with photos. What accounts is careful and united.

960614-1 Stone of Friendship

This afternoon we gathered together to ask our principal to guide every scene of our campus in order to let us know the meaning of each scene. In addition, we want to learn how to guide a campus tour for freshmen. We practiced a lot because we want to have a good representation of the job and let freshmen know the stories of those scenes. The cornerstone is founded on

March 25^th, 2000. Principal also told us the difference between our cornerstone and other school's cornerstone. The big stone is natural and sent by principal's university classmate's husband. Because her husband knew that we need a stone to be our cornerstone, he sent us his favorite stone. Later, principal hired an artist to engrave words on the stone. Then the cornerstone is founded.

960614-2 We have the fourth millennium

When we arrived at the sixth floor, we saw four pillars in front of us. Then principal told us the story of those four pillars. When we were constructing the scene, it was approaching the second millennium. In addition, the Pope hopes that we can pass the third millennium and our principal thinks that our school can pass third millennium and keeps passing the fourth millennium, so

our school decided to build four millennium benchmarks. Principal also told us the big event regarding the second millennium, that is, there were computer problems in 2000. Then I asked principal what the lines around each pillar are. She told us, ¡¥Those lines symbolized lights.¡¦ After the tour, it's our turn to introduce those scenes to freshmen.
