While
the autumn wind blows gently. we paid a visit to Taichung's
Dakeng. It's the right time to enjoy the subtle feeling
in Dakeng's forest and visit its flourish ecology. This year,
Taichung City Government hosted the activities of
"Golden Autumn, Charming Forest and Dakeng Carnival" on October 27th. It unites Dakeng's
unique landscape and leisure delicious food. These three
main activities, and they focus on nature, health, humanity,
ecology and delicious cuisine.How can we miss Dakeng's natural beautiful
landscape, its abundant humanity and ecology? Welcome everyone, to
investigate this beautiful and colorful paradise with Little

Firstly, have the South Taiwan's chickens
run around the mountains in Dakeng for a
week and raise them with corns to remove the
over fat and the feeds in the chickens'
body. Then, boil the chicken with small fire
for 20 minutes and stew it for 20 minutes.
Finally, the delicious diet boiled tender
chicken will be completed.

The river shrimp is the local special
product. They grow up under the rock in the
clean river. They are full of ingredients of
calcium and hemoglobin, which can nourish
people's muscles and bones and enhance the
beauty of human faces. It is a delicious
dish for health preserving. Shrimps can be
steamed, stir-fried, deep-fried or stewed
with wine etc.

shoots. The soup-stock is made of the stewed
local raised wild chicken. This dish also
adds black pig's loin, carrots and
mushrooms. It is worthwhile to take a bite.

This dish is based on the selected japonica
rice and fresh Moso bamboo tubes. The rice
is steamed by the condensed technology to
integrate with several natural amino acids
of the bamboo. While you are eating rice,
you would smell the flavor of bamboo.
In addition, each bamboo can make seven
bamboo tubes, and each bamboo can only be
used once and taken home after using it.

This dish is made of Dakeng's bamboo shoots,
also called "Golden bamboo shoots," which
are famous for the best quality in Taiwan.
Select fresh bamboo shoots with one meter
long and 14 centimeters wide and make
them into bamboo shoot balls. After that,
stew them with three pieces of meat in a
traditional way, so it tastes delicious
without harsh and greasy.

This dish is made of fresh king oyster
mushrooms and Japanese miso sauce. The top
is juicy potato, stewed with fresh oranges
and vanilla for two hours. It
tastes sweet but a little sour and it is
melt in the mouth. You even smell the flavor
of vanilla. The taste is unique. This
creative dish is really recommended.

Dong Dong taro balls, a famous product in Dakeng, are
kneaded by hands. In summer the ice is the main product,
so taro balls are matched with red beans, Mesona, pine
apples etc. This snack focuses on its degree of chew and
taste. In winter, taro balls are matched with the hot
soups like Mesona, longan soups, ginger soup etc.

Dakeng's citrus tastes sweet and juicy. It
is known far and wide. From November to
December each year,
the citrus-Pokan is
productive, then citrus-Tankan,
citrus-Murcott, respectively. Once it is a
productive period, visitors would pick
